PNB Bank Announces Free Services for Account Holders

In a significant move, PNB, the country's second-largest bank, has announced a major benefit for its account holders. The bank has waived off all service charges for its customers on services such as RTGS, NEFT, and IMPS, making online money transfers completely free for existing customers.

This decision, shared by PNB on social media, has been welcomed by current account holders as excellent news. Starting now, individuals maintaining active accounts through internet banking and mobile banking platforms will no longer incur any fees for transactions involving RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, and other similar services.

For those unfamiliar with the terms, IMPS, or Immediate Payment Services, allows users to transfer funds through net banking 24/7, providing a hassle-free experience. This service is facilitated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

NEFT, which stands for National Electronic Funds Transfer, offers round-the-clock banking facilities for transferring funds to other accounts. Unlike IMPS, NEFT transactions may take a few hours to process, but this service is available both online and offline.

RTGS, or Real-Time Gross Settlement, enables instant money transfers upon pressing a button. The convenience of RTGS transactions is accessible through both internet banking and bank branches.

PNB's decision to eliminate these charges is expected to simplify and enhance the overall banking experience for its customers. Stay tuned for more updates from PNB Bank as they continue to prioritize customer satisfaction.
